Search Guide: semantic and keyword search over filings

Clarifo's search combines AI-assisted semantic understanding with precise Keyword search across the annual and interim reports of Nordic and US listed companies. Here's how to make the most of both.

How semantic search (Analysis mode) works

In Analysis mode, Clarifo understands the meaning of your question instead of matching keywords literally. You can ask in natural language, and the AI finds semantically relevant passages and synthesizes an answer from them, even if the exact words don't match.

How Keyword search works

When you want raw matches without AI interpretation, switch from Analysis mode to Keyword mode above the search bar. It lists filing passages that contain your search term as-is: no LLM analysis, no synthesized answer. Narrow the results by document type (all, annual reports, interim reports) and click a result to open the original PDF at the right page.

Using filters

Narrow your search results by company, year, report type or topic. Filters help you focus on exactly the data you need and reduce noise in the results.

Search tips

• Be specific. Nokia revenue 2024 works better than just revenue.
• Ask complete questions. What risks does the company mention? gives more relevant results than risks.
• Use Keyword mode when you need an exact term or number without AI interpretation.
• Combine search with chat to explore a topic in more depth, and save useful answers to a workspace.

Understanding citations

Every answer includes citations linking back to the original source document and page number. Click a citation to view the exact passage in the PDF viewer. This keeps the answer transparent and lets you verify every claim.

The same filing search powers Visual Story, so the figures on a card can be traced back to the report they came from.
